We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Tutorial Fellow in Pharmacology to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and contributing to the university's research output while ensuring compliance with professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction and Teaching: Teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department, delivering high-quality lectures and practical sessions.
Curriculum Development: Design, develop, plan, and deliver a range of study programmes, including new courses at various levels; regularly review and update course materials.
Clinical Supervision: Oversee clinical practice, providing students with real-world learning experiences and guidelines within hospital or clinical settings.
Research and Consultancy: Carry out research, write grant proposals, and participate in consultancies. Present research papers at national and international conferences.
Mentorship: Provide career guidance and mentorship to students and junior staff members.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all academic and clinical activities align with the standards set by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Academic Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Postgraduate Degree: Master of Science in Pharmacology (or related fields such as Molecular Pharmacology, Toxicology, or Clinical Pharmacy) from an accredited university.
Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, or Medicine from an accredited university.
Experience: At least three years of teaching or research experience at the university level.
Academic Track Record: Evidence of attendance and contribution at academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Professional Licensure: A valid practising licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
