Zetech University is seeking a Tutorial Fellow – Kiswahili to join its faculty in Kiambu, Kenya.
Job Objective
The purpose of this position is to carry out teaching roles, student mentoring, research, and other academic duties in liaison with the university's overall goal.
Key Responsibilities
Teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
Design, develop, plan, and deliver a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
Deliver high-quality lectures and practicals.
Review course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the development of research activities.
Carry out research and write research grant proposals.
Seek and participate in consultancies.
Present research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
Disseminate research outputs.
Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisors.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree of Education (Kiswahili) qualification from a recognised/accredited University in the relevant field.
At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
Demonstrated potential for university teaching and research.
