Tutorial Fellow - Grade XI (Parasitology)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Academic Instruction: Undertake teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Research Leadership: Lead and manage teams in conducting research individually or collaboratively.
• Dissemination of Knowledge: Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Student Mentorship: Supervise, advise, and mentor postgraduate students in their research activities.
• Grant Writing: Write proposals for research and development funding.
• Policy Contribution: Contribute significantly to the development of academic policies and coordinate research activities in specific subject areas.
• Collaboration: Develop collaborative links and research partnerships with other researchers and institutions locally and internationally.
• Curriculum Development: Participate in the design, development, and review of academic programs and curricula.
• Capacity Building: Guide and mentor early-stage researchers in their training, skills acquisition, and career development.
• Academic Administration: Manage examination preparation, administration, and departmental activities.
• Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach activities and provide leadership within the department or school as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Evidence of registration for a PhD.
• An earned Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited and recognized University.
• At least eight (8) equivalent publication points from credible refereed journal articles.
• Registration with a relevant professional body (where applicable) and in good standing.
• Evidence of Community Outreach/Engagement.
• Relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies.
