Role Summary
Zetech University is seeking a qualified and dedicated Tutorial Fellow in Data Science to join its academic team in Kiambu. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, course development, research activities, and mentorship within the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
- Design, develop, plan, and deliver a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
- Deliver high-quality lectures and practicals.
- Review course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the development of research activities.
- Carry out research and write research grant proposals.
- Seek and participate in consultancies.
- Present research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
- Disseminate research outputs.
- Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master of Science in Data Science or Master of Science in Data Science and Data Analytics; Bachelor of Science in Data Science/Computer Science/IT or any other related field from a recognised/accredited University.
- Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification and progressing.
- Registered or registrable with relevant professional body (where applicable).
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
- Demonstrated university-level teaching experience and research.
- Commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
