Job Description
One Acre Fund is a nonprofit organization that supplies smallholder farmers in East Africa with asset-based financing and agriculture training services to reduce hunger and poverty. We are seeking a Tupande Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor for a fixed-term contract to manage our warehouse and inventory operations in Kiambu. The role involves overseeing quality control, managing staff, and ensuring efficient handling of raw materials (NIS) to meet regulatory and company standards.
Responsibilities
Quality Control
Ensure that all NIS (Nut in Shell) meet quality standards by collaborating with the quality team.
Comply with regulatory factory requirements for percent good quality in addition to other quality thresholds such as insect damage, mould, immature, and undersize nuts.
Team Management
Manage and mentor a team of receiving, warehouse, and dispatch staff and independent contractors (ICs).
Ensure proper training and adherence to all safety protocols among the team.
NIS Handling
Manage the handling of NIS during offloading and dryer loading with support from clerks.
Maintain accurate records for both receiving and dryer loading processes.
Inventory Management
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with E&A teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials for processing.
Ensure stock levels meet requirements for customer order fulfilment.
Reporting and Time Management
Generate daily stock reports for IN and OUT movement within the warehouse and shop floor for senior management decision-making.
Monitor the turnaround of raw materials trucks to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Waste and Food Safety Implementation
Minimize nut waste during offloading and drying, and record weights for stock reconciliation.
Ensure hygienic conditions of both the warehouse team and casual workers are maintained.
Implement all Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) requirements during every shift.
Process Improvement
Implement innovative operating procedures to eliminate raw material losses or quality deterioration.

Qualifications
Academic Qualification: Minimum of a Diploma or Certificate in Food Science, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration. (BA/BSc/HND also accepted).
Experience: At least 3+ years of working experience in manufacturing companies as a warehouse supervisor.
Technical Knowledge: Proven knowledge and experience in Food Safety Management Systems, Environmental standards, and Occupational Health and Safety (SHEQ).
Analytical Skills: Ability to identify problems, investigate relevant facts, and find logical solutions.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify root causes and find solutions to meet required ripening targets.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain process improvements and quality standards.
Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in ensuring all tasks are completed to the required quality standards.
