One Acre Fund is seeking exceptional candidates with 3-5 years of work experience for the Tupande Impact Strategy and Operations Associate role. This position is a fixed-term contract designed for individuals with a background in managing complex projects and coordinating across multiple teams in a fast-growing organization. Responsibilities
- Functional Leadership: Lead specific functional areas, taking full responsibility for the strategy, execution, and final results, from problem definition through delivery.
- Strategic Action: Translate strategy into action by driving implementation plans, tracking progress, and removing operational bottlenecks.
- Complex Problem Solving: Tackle cross-functional priorities that require quickly learning new operational contexts and applying expertise to develop end-to-end solutions.
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Own project delivery by defining scope and success metrics, building and managing workplans and timelines, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
- Execution and Follow-through: Ensure on-time, high-quality execution through disciplined follow-through, tracking risks and dependencies, and clear communication.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze data and operational realities to diagnose issues, generate options, and recommend decisions.
- Influential Communication: Communicate clearly and influence decisions through strong writing, structured thinking, and practical recommendations.
- AI Integration: Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, synthesis, and drafting while maintaining ownership of judgment and final outputs.

Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a post-graduate degree (MBA/MSc/MA) is preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Prior experience in strategy and operations, management consulting, international development, or the private sector (3+ years preferred) is a significant advantage.
- Skills: Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in fast-evolving environments with limited playbooks and comfort designing systems and processes from the ground up.
- Learning Agility: Ability to learn new value chains quickly (agronomy, markets, finance, logistics, data) and connect them into coherent operating models.
- Strategic & Hands-on: Ability to move fluidly between strategic high-level planning and solving practical challenges on the ground.
- Mobility: Comfortable with frequent travel across Kenya for field research, supplier engagement, and pilot oversight.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required; Swahili is a plus.
