Equity Bank Kenya is seeking a results-driven Treasury Dealer to drive the growth of the bank's Foreign Exchange (FX) revenues. This role is centered on managing FX and money market transactions, ensuring customer retention through excellent service and negotiation, and providing insightful market analysis to inform management decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Significantly grow the bank’s FX Revenues through strategic trading and sales.
Revenue Growth:
Customer Relationship Management: Ensure the onboarding and retention of customer FX supply while maintaining strong, professional relationships.
Transaction Management: Efficiently negotiate and transact FX and Money Market deals.
Market Monitoring: Continuously monitor price and rate movements on foreign currencies to identify opportunities.
Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze developments in the financial environment and report their implications on FOREX deals for management information.
Operational Support: Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related field.
Professional Certification: Mandatory ACI certification for all dealers in the dealing room.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in the banking industry.
Technical Skills: Strong sales capability and customer service skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Languages: Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
