Angama is looking for a driven, curious, and guest-focused Travel Planner to design and curate exceptional travel experiences for our guests. In this role, you will be responsible for translating vague inquiries into well-crafted, personalized travel itineraries across East Africa.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n* Provide timely and courteous responses to inquiries from the global travel trade and direct guests.\n* Translate vague requests into well-crafted, customized travel plans.\n* Curate personalized itineraries based on guest preferences and budgets.\n* Book travel arrangements within East Africa, covering air, ground transport, accommodation, and other logistics.\n* Ensure all booking details are accurately reflected in the system.\n* Provide real-time internal feedback on guest logistics.\n* Liaise with the finance team for timely collection of payments with kindness.\n\n### Key Qualities\n* Driven, curious, and genuinely guest-focused.\n* Strong understanding of East African travel dynamics and logistics.\n* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\n* Service-minded, with a natural desire to support and delight guests.\n* Clear and articulate communicator in both written and spoken English.\n* Independent, proactive, and self-motivated.\n* Empathetic, calm, and reassuring when handling concerns.\n* Able to maintain a light sense of humor even under pressure.\n* Strong alignment with Angama’s values: ubuntu, respect, honesty, courage, and joy.\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n* BA/BSc/HND degree or equivalent.\n* 3–5 years of experience in the high-end safari travel space.\n* Strong knowledge of East African accommodation and travel logistics.\n* Experience using Tourplan, HubSpot, Safari Portal, or similar reservations and travel planning systems.
