Job Description
The Training Coordinator will report to the Deputy Director, Executive Capacity Development Programs (ECDP) and will contribute to the University’s corporate and strategic goals by developing programmes, facilitating and coordinating quality training for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing & Business Development: Secure appointments for company presentations and market ECDP courses. Deliver presentations on ECDP courses in the absence of the Deputy Director.
Proposal Management: Assist in proposal writing and follow up on training sessions to secure participant enrollment.
Administrative Coordination: Ensure the ECDP department is registered on a timely basis with NITA and other relevant institutions. Process prequalification documents and consultant claims at the end of assignments.
Stakeholder Engagement: Attend to clients’ correspondences and verbal queries accurately and promptly. Carry out media monitoring to identify new opportunities for the department.
Office & Data Management: Maintain a database and files for all ECDP clients and consultants. Implement and update an office filing system ensuring easy retrieval of documents. Ensure efficient flow of mail.
Planning & Logistics: Assist in the preparation of the yearly procurement plan for the ECDP department and carry out departmental requisitions as needed.
General Support: Undertake word processing duties and perform any other duties assigned by the Deputy Director-ECDP.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications: A Master’s degree or a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Social Sciences.
Professional Certification: Must have a Diploma in Human Resources Management.
Technical Skills: Strong command of Computer applications, specifically MS Word, Microsoft Access (Database), MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel (Spreadsheet).
