Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, seeks to recruit a Trade Development Representative (TDR) for their Mwingi operations. This role focuses on channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIMs and Float, ensuring visibility and merchandising at point of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Recruitment & Mapping: Manage the identification and recruitment of Agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Field Visitation: Visit SSOs and Agents regularly based on agreed route plans (beat plans).
Training & Support: Provide transactional tools and train SSOs/T-Kash Agents on operational processes and business tools.
Compliance: Conduct AML training and testing for agents and train SSOs on the KYC process in relation to SIMREG.
Stock Management: Enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs have adequate SIM stock for new registrations and activations.
Merchandising: Maintain merchandising standards by ensuring materials are available at all SSO and Agent outlets.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role within FMCG or Telecommunications.
Competencies: Strong customer focus, influencing and negotiation skills, networking and building partnerships, and analytical thinking.
