Job Description
Jocham Hospital, a leading private medical service provider in Mombasa County, is looking for qualified Theatre Technicians to join its medical team. The role involves technical support within the surgical department, ensuring the sterile preparation of instruments, equipment, and the theatre environment to facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare the operating room with necessary sterile instruments and equipment prior to surgeries.
Assist the surgical team during operations by providing appropriate instruments and supplies.
Maintain a sterile field throughout all surgical procedures to prevent infection.
Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after use.
Ensure all theatre equipment is functioning correctly and report any technical faults.
Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for surgical procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must be a holder of a minimum of a Diploma in Theatre Technology or a related medical field.
At least 2 years of proven experience in the relevant field within a hospital setting.
In-depth knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization protocols.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict clinical procedures.
