Job Purpose
The Team Leader is responsible for coordinating activities between WMS, ESR, Palletizing, and Production (SMD/PMD) to ensure the efficient transfer of both materials and finished goods (FG). This role supervises team operations, adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintains strict safety and housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate activities between WMS/ESR/PALLETIZING and Production (SMD/PMD) to ensure efficient transfer of both materials and finished goods.
Supervise WMS/ODS Data clerks, material transporters, palletizing warehousemen, and MHE operators at ODS/Palletizing.
Support the factory by following BAT's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure proper material issuance.
Support the production team by ensuring that finished goods have been correctly received and posted while adhering to BAT's SOPs.
Conduct hourly interval visits to the factory modules to check Kanban reorder levels and include Kanban material levels, production schedules, and other crucial details in the 3-hour SICs.
Verify materials outgoing to SMD/PMD and ensure proper logging in the checker's book.
Ensure that materials at the Factory Kanbans do not exceed required levels and correspond to the specific module.
Act as a liaison between WMS/Palletizing departments and Production (SMD and PMD) teams.
Oversee inventory accuracy managed by data clerks through stock checks, audits, and cycle counts.
Provide timely and accurate daily reports (such as cycle counts and production reports) to maintain proper internal reporting.
Participate in mid and end-month stock-taking activities.
Communicate effectively with factory and warehouse personnel to ensure accurate data capture and timely issue resolution.
Monitor performance and ensure operations are conducted safely.
Maintain outstanding ODS housekeeping standards utilizing the 5S technique.
Ensure daily Pulsar observation is done.
Conduct daily toolbox meetings to communicate goals, objectives, and performance expectations.
Ensure detailed records of all documentation books at ODS are kept with real-time accuracy.
Proactively carry out all delegated tasks from the Warehouse Supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
Tertiary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in supply chain or a related field.
Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel is required.
Training in MS Office suite and other industry-related courses is highly advantageous.
