The Role
The Teacher of Humanities is responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across the Humanities curriculum (History, Geography, Religious Studies), fostering intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of human societies, cultures, and environments to Year 5–8 pupils. The role involves planning and delivering well-structured lessons that challenge and inspire pupils, supporting academic progress, and promoting discussion, analysis, and independent thought.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across History, Geography, and Religious Studies for Year 5-8 pupils.
Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that challenge and inspire pupils.
Support academic progress through fostering intellectual curiosity and critical thinking.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through coaching sports.
Participate in active pastoral involvement in the Senior Boys’ Boarding House and serve as a tutor.
Lead and support enrichment provision for pupils holding academic, music, and sport scholarships.

Qualifications and Requirements

Previous experience or capability to teach pupils in the Year 5–8 bracket.
