Role Overview: Systems Administrator
ATL Global Business's client, a premier inbound destination management company in Africa with offices across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa, is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Systems Administrator.
This strategic, hands-on role is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and continuously enhancing the organization’s core IT systems and infrastructure across East Africa. This position uniquely combines systems administration, systems analysis, systems design, and IT support functions to ensure that all business-critical platforms are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess business requirements to recommend system upgrades and integration strategies, while designing technical architecture and data workflows for scalability, as well as advising management on emerging technologies and digital transformation opportunities across East Africa.
- Oversee business-critical platforms including ERP, CRM, HR Systems, Transport Systems, and Business Intelligence tools.
- Automate repetitive tasks, optimize workflows, conduct regular system performance reviews to identify gaps and recommend enhancements, and maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, SOPs, and disaster recovery plans.
- Lead the comprehensive rollout of new systems and modules by overseeing installation, configuration, user acceptance testing, and ensuring seamless integration across various platforms to align with business processes and maintain data consistency and reporting accuracy.
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of servers and applications through proactive maintenance, incident management, and adherence to cybersecurity standards.
- Provide comprehensive IT support and administration for hardware infrastructure, networking, and critical office systems across regional branches, with flexibility for travel or remote work as needed.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units, providing training and support, while creating clear documentation and system manuals to enhance user understanding and technology adoption.
- Implement continuous improvement by automating repetitive tasks, optimizing workflows, conducting regular performance reviews to identify gaps, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5–8 years’ progressive experience in systems administration, analysis, and design with a proven record of implementing and maintaining business-critical IT systems.
- Strong expertise in enterprise systems, servers, databases, integration, and IT security.
- Possessing certifications such as MCSE, VMware, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), ITIL, or CompTIA Security+ will be an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
