Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the university pool and aquatic facilities to ensure safety at all times.
- Administer first aid, CPR, and other emergency care as required.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents or unsafe behaviour.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of pool equipment and surroundings.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and safety checks.
- Educate students and staff on water safety and emergency procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid from a recognized institution.
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness to perform rescues.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of practical experience in pool or aquatic safety.
- Membership in a recognized professional body for lifeguards or aquatic safety.
- Applicants must hold a BA/BSc/HND qualification.
