UNICEF is looking for a Supply & Logistics Manager to provide technical support to Country Offices in the management of Supply Planning and monitoring. This role is critical for ensuring effective supply chain service delivery and emergency response across the region. You will work closely with Country Office programme and supply teams, implementing partners, and government systems to drive innovation and optimize market engagement.
Key Functions and Accountabilities
- Technical Support: Provide guidance to UNICEF Country Offices on the management of Supply Planning and monitoring processes.
- Service Delivery: Oversee supply chain service delivery and coordinate emergency response activities.
- Collaboration: Partner with Country Office programme teams, supply teams, and implementing partners to align logistics with programmatic goals.
- Advisory Services: Provide technical and advisory support to government and national systems to strengthen local supply chains.
- Innovation and Market Development: Drive innovation in products and markets to improve procurement efficiency and outcomes.
Requirements
- Education: Advanced University Degree (Master's or equivalent) in Supply/Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional work experience in Supply Management, Contracting, Logistics, Administration, Procurement, or Emergency operations.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Analysis, Coordination, Critical Thinking, Risk Assessment, Supply Planning, and Technical Support.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is considered a strong asset.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in Strategic Monitoring, Capacity Building, Government Advisory Support, and Evaluation.
- Relevant experience at the country level, particularly in development, fragile settings, or humanitarian contexts.
