Job Description
Africa Nazarene University is seeking a Studio Technician (Job Ref: Anu/mcomm/02/02/26) to manage its media production facilities and provide technical support. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating studio usage, maintaining high-end production equipment, and providing instructional guidance on audio, video, and print production technologies to both students and faculty.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Studio Scheduling: Liaise with faculty to allocate and schedule studio space and time for relevant course units.
Instructional Development: Develop instructional materials for audio, video, and print production sessions.
Technical Support: Provide instruction on the use of production technology and run studio sessions alongside unit lecturers.
Equipment Management: Issue and receive back studio equipment using a logbook. Conduct daily and comprehensive end-of-trimester inventory checks.
Maintenance: Maintain and perform minor repairs on studio equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Procurement Support: Recommend purchases and upgrades for studio hardware and software; draw up technical specifications for new acquisitions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, corporate affairs, and spiritual development departments to provide technical support for university events and initiatives.
Academic and Professional Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Media Studies, Communications, Information Technology, or similar).
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a media studio or production environment.
