The Student Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, orderly, and disciplined environment within the school. This position involves direct supervision of student activities, management of transitions between classes, and maintaining administrative records regarding student conduct and attendance.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting corridor, bathroom, and classroom checks prior to the start of the school day to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.
Coordinating the student line-up process before, during, and after recess with the help of SLO prefects to maintain order.
Managing travel time between classes to ensure no instructional time is wasted.
Mentoring and discussing the importance of discipline with students to foster a safe learning environment.
Maintaining a quiet environment as students enter the classroom after breaks.
Ensuring students are in class in a timely manner before the start of the day and after recess.
Motivating students to work hard during class hours to maximize learning.
Accurately entering data into the SABIS School Management System (SSMS/SIS), including teacher/student attendance and infraction reports.
Contacting and following up with parents regarding student absences.
Observing classes to ensure a calm learning environment is maintained.
Monitoring for bullying or fighting and informing students of relevant disciplinary actions.
Accompanying students to the bus area after school and ensuring they board their allocated transport.
Preparing daily reports related to teacher observations, student infractions, and complaints.
Assisting in exam hall supervision and attending weekly team meetings/training sessions.
Promoting the Student Life Code of Honor throughout the school.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Proficiency in English.
Professional behavior and ethical conduct.
Ability to deliver results and take ownership.
