The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) is a statutory agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and developing efficient Capital Markets in Kenya. This student attachment is for a period of 3 months (non-renewable) within the Commodities department.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commodities, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
Undertaking surveys and on-desk studies to inform formulation of policies and regulations to aid in establishment of the commodities markets in Kenya.
Undertaking assessments to inform necessary commodity trading infrastructure, including warehousing facilities to support the establishment of the commodities market.
Providing input for the development of draft legal, regulatory and institutional framework for the spot commodities market.
Requirements
A continuing student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, business, finance or any relevant field.
