This role as a Strategic Relationship Manager is a professional position focused on optimizing procurement value through expert supplier management and strategic sourcing.
Role Overview
The Strategic Relationship Manager acts as a procurement and supply chain expert, responsible for establishing and maintaining high-value vendor relationships. You will leverage enterprise expenditures to qualify and negotiate legal contracts, ensuring the Church receives the best possible value for its products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Relationship Management: Qualify, negotiate, select, and establish legal contracts with vendors. Monitor and ensure supplier performance matches contracted terms and conditions.
Needs Analysis & Solution Design: Document and design solutions for the product and service needs of sponsoring organizations. Serve as an industry authority by interacting with vendors, consultants, and professional groups.
Procurement Operations: Utilize purchasing tools including eMarket, PeopleSoft, and AX/Dynamics 365 to accept requisitions, create purchase orders, and expedite orders. Maintain catalogs of frequently used goods and services.
Strategic Sourcing: Apply seasoned supply-chain knowledge to identify outsourcing opportunities and strategic sourcing improvements.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Supply Chain Management, etc.).
Experience: At least 4 years of related experience in supply-chain management, strategic sourcing, or purchasing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge: Seasoned understanding of supply-chain knowledge and supplier relationship management.
Skills: Well-developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 15% (both domestic and international) for periods of up to 2 weeks at a time.
Certifications (Preferred): CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification.
