Job Description
At Konoin Technical Training Institute, we are committed to academic excellence, innovation, and community contribution. We are seeking a diligent Stores Assistant to manage the institution's inventory and storage facilities. The Stores Assistant will be responsible for the end-to-end management of supplies, from receiving and inspection to secure storage and issuance, ensuring that educational and administrative departments have the resources they need to function efficiently.
Responsibilities
Receiving and Inspection: Receive, inspect, and record all incoming goods and materials to ensure they meet specifications and are in good condition.
Issuance of Supplies: Issue tools, equipment, and supplies to authorized staff and departments following institutional protocols.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems regularly to reflect current stock status.
Storage and Safety: Ensure proper storage, arrangement, and safety of items within the store to prevent damage or loss.
Stock Monitoring: Monitor stock levels and proactively report shortages or discrepancies to the relevant authorities.
Reporting: Assist in regular stock-taking exercises and the preparation of comprehensive inventory reports.
Requirements
Education: Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Procurement from a recognized institution.
Secondary Education: Minimum KCSE Mean Grade of C- (minus).
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in store-keeping or inventory management.
Technical Skills: Computer literate, with knowledge of inventory systems considered an added advantage.
Core Competencies: Good organizational and record-keeping skills, with a high level of integrity and accountability.
