Techwin Limited, an engineering technology company in Kenya, is seeking a qualified Solar Technician to join its Projects Department. Techwin specializes in the manufacture of stainless-steel equipment and the supply and installation of solar power systems across various sectors including dairy, beverage, hospitality, healthcare, and construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of solar solutions, from site assessment to maintenance.
Responsibilities
Site Assessments: Conduct site assessments to determine system requirements, optimal positioning, and structural suitability.
Installation & Testing: Oversee installations, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of solar systems.
Technical Tasks: Perform electrical and plumbing connections, troubleshoot faults, and carry out repairs.
Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement by monitoring system performance and addressing identified issues.
Customer Guidance: Provide customers with product information and technical guidance.
Business Development: Support solution selection and generate leads through referrals.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain installation and servicing reports to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy from a recognized institution.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in solar installations.
Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as a T3 license, will be an added advantage.
Mobility: Must possess a valid driving or riding license.
