Rose of Sharon Academy is seeking a dedicated Social Studies / Agriculture Teacher to join its team. The academy focuses on nurturing and guiding children to prepare them for leadership roles, raising a generation of leaders who stand out with integrity and competence.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Social Studies and Agriculture curriculum, inspiring learners, and fostering an environment that encourages critical thinking. As a Christian institution, the role also involves integrating Christian values into the teaching process.
Key Responsibilities
Implement the Social Studies and Agriculture curriculum effectively across relevant grades.
Develop comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials.
Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a productive and positive learning environment.
Assess student progress through regular testing and assignments.
Encourage critical thinking and inspire students to achieve their potential.
Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a relevant field.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is required.
Registration: Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) with a valid TSC Number.
Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in teaching Social Studies and/or the Agriculture curriculum.
Faith: Must be a saved and practicing Christian.
Skills & Competencies
Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
Ability to inspire learners and encourage critical thinking.
Proficiency in curriculum implementation and assessment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
