The Senior Associate Human Capital Excellence (HCE) acts as the HCE representative at one of the client's largest and most dynamic manufacturing sites in Nakuru. This role partners closely with the HCE department based at Thika and departmental leaders on-site to ensure HR excellence in a fast-paced, multi-line production environment spanning food and beverage categories. The position oversees employee relations, staffing, performance management, capability building, and engagement, ensuring that HR policies and culture are effectively embedded across all shifts and production lines.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Representative On-site: Act as the on-site HCE representative, supporting the implementation of company HCE policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with labor laws.
- HR Operations: Manage operations including time and attendance, shift scheduling, overtime tracking, leave management, and absenteeism monitoring.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Administer processes including recruitment support, onboarding, confirmations, renewals, transfers, and exits. Issue and maintain employee records such as appointment, confirmation, warning, disciplinary, and experience letters.
- Employee Relations: Handle employee queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters in coordination with Head Office HCE.
- Performance & Capability: Coordinate performance management processes (probation reviews, annual appraisals) and support training coordination and compliance-related learning initiatives.
- Employee Engagement: Drive on-site employee engagement, welfare initiatives, and internal communication to enhance morale and promote company values.
- Reporting: Prepare HR reports, metrics, and dashboards for plant management and Head Office review.
- Administration: Coordinate office administration (stationery, supplies, facility requirements) and manage welfare services like the canteen and transport coordination.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal/external HR audits. Collaborate with EHS and production teams to support health and safety standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration.
- Certification: Higher Diploma in HR Management or CHRP certification (mandatory).
- Licensing: Valid IHRM practicing certificate.
- Experience: 3–5 years’ experience in HR and Administration within a large manufacturing or multi-line FMCG environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong background in employee relations, industrial relations, and HR operations.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with HRIS, payroll, and attendance systems.
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to manage diverse teams and fast-moving labor environments.
