The Site Lead - SSSL is responsible for enhancing the performance of Multiuser Site operations by effectively overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly activities. The primary focus is ensuring alignment with customer requirements and the achievement of contractual KPIs. The Site Lead will cultivate a culture of operations excellence, positioning DHL as the "provider of choice" for our clients while providing strong leadership, motivation, and development opportunities for the workforce. Additionally, the role ensures the safe and efficient operation of the site, adhering to established guidelines and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Health, Safety, and Security: Implement actions to reduce or eliminate health and safety-related risks, ensuring team compliance with Safety Standards and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) programs. Report and investigate incidents and adhere to the DSC 6 Steps security framework to protect personnel and assets.
- Operational Compliance: Supervise the adherence to processes, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes for critical nonconformities to prevent recurrence.
- Performance Management: Supervise day-to-day performance, ensuring achievement of agreed customer KPIs and internal targets. Conduct regular operational reviews and colleague briefings using Performance Dialogue boards.
- Resource Planning: Process forecasted volumes via the RPM system and align with resource plans to ensure adequate staffing for planned volumes.
- Team Leadership: Support recruitment, appraisal, and disciplinary processes. Conduct performance reviews and coaching for direct reports, supporting the site's succession plan and talent agenda.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement First-Choice tools and engage in problem-solving and environmental efficiency activities. Conduct Gemba Walks to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Customer & Supplier Relations: Liaise with suppliers to monitor performance and propose improvements. Respond to or escalate customer issues within established guidelines.
- Financial Oversight: Track month-by-month budget expenditure within the area of responsibility.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Relevant University degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or Project Management.
- Experience: At least 6 years of experience in Logistics/Warehouse Operations.
- Financial Skills: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Finance & Budget Management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, innovative and creative thinking, and demonstrated business and commercial acumen.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in warehousing, logistics, or FMCG environments.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attributes: Well-organized individual with a results-oriented mindset.
