As a Shop Floor Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining strict quality parameters and product specifications. This role involves taking full responsibility for shift management, including staff attendance, motivation, and disciplinary issues. You will be tasked with monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations, and troubleshooting production challenges to minimize wastage and optimize resources.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure production targets are met according to product specifications and quality standards.
Manage the smooth running of production processes and account for shift-specific production wastage.
Supervise staff on the shift, ensuring correct headcount and optimal allocation as per the production plan.
Manage, develop, and motivate reporting staff, handling grievances and discipline in line with company policies.
Monitor, measure, and report on production process performance and general operational issues.
Facilitate effective communication across the shift and ensure smooth production handovers with other supervisors.
Enforce Health and Safety rules and regulations, reporting any incidents to relevant authorities.
Utilize problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes and resolve operational challenges.
Identify staff training needs to meet current and future departmental requirements.
Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Efficiently use company resources to manage operating costs.
Manage workflow as directed by the Production Manager and support the implementation of ISO QMS, OH&S, EMS, and EnMS procedures.
Key Outputs / Accountabilities
Regular submission of daily and 2-hourly production reports.
Achievement of set production targets with minimum wastage.
Maintenance of high quality and product specifications.
Efficient utilization and allocation of staff.

Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Minimum of an 'O' Level certificate or a Diploma in Engineering or Business Management. A BA/BSc/HND is also highly regarded.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory position within a manufacturing environment.
Skills: Computer literacy is essential, along with strong people management, communication, and analytical skills.
