The Service Advisor (Construction Equipment) serves as the primary liaison between customers and the technical workshop. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless service experience, from the moment a customer makes an inquiry to the final handover of their equipment. The successful candidate will manage service requests, coordinate with technical teams, and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, accurately capturing service needs and creating detailed job cards.
Service Coordination: Schedule maintenance and repair work, liaise with technicians, and ensure timely completion of all jobs.
Communication: Provide customers with clear and regular updates regarding diagnostics, repair progress, estimated costs, and timelines.
Costing and Documentation: Ensure accurate job costing, including labor, parts, and external services, while maintaining meticulous documentation.
Inventory Collaboration: Work closely with the parts department to ensure the availability of necessary components and minimize equipment downtime.
Quality Control: Verify completed work against the original job cards and uphold strict quality standards before releasing equipment to the customer.
Feedback Management: Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring effective resolution and promoting additional service offerings to support business growth.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a similar service advisory role within the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
Brand Knowledge: Prior experience with Hyundai equipment or similar heavy machinery brands is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong technical understanding of heavy machinery and construction equipment operations.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in workshop management systems (ERP) and basic computer applications.
Licensing: A valid driving license is mandatory, along with a willingness to travel occasionally to regional branches.
