Job Description
The Senior Test Development Officer will be responsible for the Test Development process, ensuring the quality and integrity of HR professional examinations. The officer reports to the Manager, Test Development, and is tasked with implementing policies, preparing assessment materials, and coordinating the examination cycle.
Duties and Responsibilities
Implementing policies, standards, and procedures for test development.
Preparing the first draft of the assessment material according to the syllabus specification.
Ensuring parity of standards across optional questions on the paper.
Maintaining safe custody of examination materials.
Organizing panel meetings for item and paper setting.
Ensuring security and confidentiality of all examination materials and processes.
Performing proofreading and quality checks on examination documents.
Identifying setters, markers, moderators, and invigilators.
Drafting budget, procurement plans, and work plans for the department.
Executing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Person Specification
Served in the grade of Test Development Officer HRMPEB Grade 5 or in a comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP).
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
