Role Overview\n\nThe Senior Software Applications Developer at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is responsible for architecting and building scalable e-Services solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. The role involves automating complex and simple workflows, ensuring application security and governance, and managing the application lifecycle (ALM) to enhance the digital capabilities of the Division of Conference Services.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n* Architect and build scalable e-Services Power Platform solutions, including Canvas/Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate flows, Power BI dashboards, Dataverse, and Power Pages.\n* Automate workflows and processes using Power Automate, connectors, and API integrations for e-Services.\n* Implement informational architecture with simplified workflows, functions, and activities within the e-Services ecosystem.\n* Ensure application security, performance, and compliance by following secure development practices and governance frameworks.\n* Manage deployments and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub.\n* Review, streamline, and implement enhanced bounce-back functionality and user notifications; design cleaner, more intuitive request submission interfaces.\n* Configure automated notifications for Division of Conference Services personnel as per defined business process steps.\n* Determine and implement appropriate digital signature solutions for e-Services.\n* Ensure comprehensive user and technical documentation for the e-Services portal is maintained.\n\n### Requirements\n\n* An advanced university degree (Master's) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field. A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience (total 9 years) may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.\n* At least seven (7) years of professional experience in information systems analysis, programming, administration, software development, and technical documentation.\n* Expert knowledge and solid experience with Asp.net, Power Platform (Dataverse, Model Driven apps), Power BI, SEO practices, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and AI-driven solutions.\n* Expertise in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies is required.\n* Excellent customer-facing communication abilities and skills in creating complex presentations and diagrams with coherent writing/documentation skills.\n* Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply creativity for innovative solutions.\n\n### How to Apply\n\nInterested and qualified?
