The Senior Security Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and protection of personnel, students, visitors, and property at the University of Kabianga. This position involves gathering intelligence, preventing incidents, and maintaining campus safety.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Information Collection: Gather relevant intelligence and security information to anticipate and mitigate risks.
Crime and Riot Prevention: Implement proactive measures to prevent criminal activities, civil unrest, and riots within campus premises.
Duty Officer Duties: Serve as the designated security duty officer on campus, overseeing general security operations.
Executive Protection: Take charge of the security and protection of senior officers within the institution.
General Support: Perform any other relevant security-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Criminology/Security Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
At least nine (9) years of relevant work experience, with at least three (3) years at the level of Security Officer I (Grade 10) or its equivalent.
Certificate of Good Conduct.
Computer literacy.
Work experience as a Sergeant/Warrant Officer in the Kenya Police Service or Kenya Defense Forces with a clean discharge certificate.
