The National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC)
The Senior Programme Officer for the Preventive and Curative Programme provides technical support and capacity building for health promotion, the prevention, control, and management of Syndemic diseases. The role is central to strengthening primary health care systems in Kenya through the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of programme policies, strategies, and guidelines. Additionally, the officer is responsible for ensuring the prudent management of grant budgets to achieve impactful health outcomes.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Support technical program leads in coordinating and implementing relevant policies, strategies, and guidelines across all levels of service provision.\n- Develop analytical and technical reports, including assessments and studies, to inform strategic planning at regional and national levels.\n- Document key findings and lessons learned to enhance accountability and reporting quality.\n- Update and manage reporting tools and systems, ensuring data relevant to programmatic trends is effectively collated.\n- Create structures and promote interventions that guarantee privacy and combat discrimination or stigmatization of those infected and affected by syndemic diseases.\n- Collaborate with various departments to develop sector-specific workplace policies for both formal and informal sectors.\n- Enhance community awareness and knowledge to foster a more effective response to strategic diseases.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Medicine, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.\n- Active membership in a relevant professional body.\n- Completion of a supervisory course from a recognized institution.\n- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant working experience.\n\n### How to Apply\nQualified applicants should submit an application letter, a detailed CV listing three professional referees, current position and grade, contact details, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, and a copy of their National ID or Passport.
