Senior Pharmaceutical Analyst (Sample Management)

The National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL) is a State Corporation within the Ministry of Health responsible for the Quality Control of Medicines on behalf of the Government. This role involves professional oversight of pharmaceutical analysis processes, specifically within the Sample Management department, to ensure that all medicinal products meet the required safety and quality standards.\n\n### Role Information\n- NQCL NO.14/2026\n- Contract (1 Year)\n- NQCL 6\n\n### Key Responsibilities and Duties\n- Oversee the receipt, storage, and chain of custody for pharmaceutical samples submitted for analysis.\n- Ensure all laboratory samples are handled and documented according to established quality standards and regulatory requirements.\n- Maintain the integrity of the testing process by ensuring strict adherence to sample management protocols.\n- Conduct high-level pharmaceutical analysis to verify the quality and safety of medicinal products.\n- Maintain detailed records and provide reports on analysis findings in compliance with government standards.\n\n### Requirements and Person Specifications\n- Cumulative relevant service period of six (6) years, with at least three (3) years in the grade of Pharmaceutical Analyst I or in a comparable position.\n- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Environmental Health, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.\n- Certificate of Registration as a Pharmacist from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.\n- Current membership to a relevant professional body.\n- Proficiency in computer applications for laboratory data management and reporting.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested applicants must submit both hard copy and soft copy (PDF format) applications by 17:00 hrs on 14th April, 2026.\n\n\n- Copy of National Identification Card\n- Duly signed application letter\n- Curriculum Vitae (CV)\n- Copies of relevant academic and professional certificates\n\n\n- Hard copy applications must be sealed, clearly marked ‘Confidential’, and indicate the job reference number (NQCL NO.14/2026).\n\n\nAg.
