The Senior Officer acts as a bridge between technical expertise and strategic partnerships to enhance the IRC’s competitiveness in priority areas.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n#### Strategic Private-Sector Engagement (30%)\n- Partner with leadership to develop and execute business development strategies for Economic Recovery & Development (ERD) priorities.\n- Oversee the creation of strategic positioning materials and donor engagement plans.\n- Represent technical priorities within agile teams and global thought leadership groups.\n- Support alignment across technical and fundraising teams to scale donor pathways.\n\n#### Business Development (30%)\n- Provide advisory input to fundraising teams across key priority areas.\n- Manage a portfolio of "ready for scale" program priorities.\n- Develop compelling materials that balance technical depth with a clear vision for strategic partnerships and "big bets."\n- Lead or support proposal development processes, including participating in donor meetings and connecting technical experts to funding opportunities.\n- Maintain knowledge of ERD technical approaches and sectoral trends to inform fundraising efforts.\n\n#### Internal Coordination & Process Improvement (20%)\n- Operationalize standard workflows for cross-functional projects between technical and fundraising teams.\n- Lead effective cross-functional meetings and ensure timely follow-up on decisions.\n- Create information-sharing systems between technical units and high-value fundraising counterparts.\n\n#### Portfolio Management Support (20%)\n- Ensure compliance and meet donor requirements for strategic grants throughout the project duration.\n- Design long-term engagement strategies to deepen donor commitment.\n- Provide post-award project management support for large-scale strategic grants.\n\n### Qualifications and Requirements\n- 6-7 years of related work experience, ideally within a large International NGO in program management, fundraising, or advocacy.\n- Bachelor’s degree in international development, social work, or a related field.\n- Proven experience with global ERD programming in low-resource environments.\n- Strong track record in fundraising, grant management, and developing multi-million-dollar partnerships.\n- Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical content for diverse audiences.\n- Experience in program design and developing multifaceted strategic partnership materials.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested candidates should apply through the International Rescue Committee career portal at theirc.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com.
