Rose Avenue Consulting Group is a financial management, strategy and consulting firm that combines deep industry knowledge with specialized expertise in corporate finance, strategy and research. In this role, the Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure leads the strategy, implementation, and ongoing operation of different infrastructure layers (including Data Centre, Network, Database, Storage, Platforms, Collaboration and Data Protection solutions) to keep bank systems available, stable, and performing at a high level.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Lead the strategy and operation of infrastructure layers to maintain high system performance.
- Participate in IT strategy development to ensure alignment with broader business initiatives.
- Communicate complex technical issues in business terms to stakeholders at all levels.
- Manage annual OpEx and CapEx Infrastructure budgets and conduct quarterly reviews for cost efficiency.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Review and approve all changes in the Change Advisory Board for auditability.
- Manage department objectives, setting individual targets and providing staff appraisals.
- Oversee IT and Business projects from Infrastructure & Network perspectives.
- Collaborate with vendors on technology roadmaps and optimize ROI/TCO.
- Develop IT policies and ensure legislative requirements are fulfilled.
- Mitigate corporate and operational risks impacting IT services.
- Ensure compliance with CBK regulations, banking laws, AML regulations, and internal policies.
Internal Business Processes
- Manage day-to-day operations and facilitate professional work processes.
- Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure smooth interactions.
- Establish coaching and mentoring practices for team development.
- Foster a learning culture and ensure technical competency through training.
- Maintain a professional work environment with high morale.
Functional Responsibilities
- Involved in the analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructure & network projects.
- Regularly review IT infrastructure policies for compliance.
- Build an architectural framework applicable throughout the organization.
- Evaluate and select networking technology to support bank products.
- Supervise personnel and contractors for equipment installation and systems support.
- Propose strategies to help the organization be more effective and competitive.
- Serve as the primary technical on-call resource for hosting operations.
- Ensure completion of controlled upgrades and fixes to the infrastructure.
- Review and recommend improvements to current solutions.
- Serve as a technical consultant on internal IT projects.
- Develop, maintain, and review SLAs with external vendors.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Telecommunications.
- Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 years in IT Infrastructure, Storage, or Networks/Communications management.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role with a financial institution.
- Proven working technical expertise in system design, support, or solution architecture.
- Proven achievement history in mega infrastructure optimization and IT modernization projects.
- Training and certification in IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL).
- Enterprise Operating System administration certification (e.g., MCSE).
- Network-related certification (e.g., CCNA).
- Security-related Certification.
- Project Management Skills (PRINCE2, PMP) are an added value.
