Senior Lecturer (Entrepreneurship) - Grade XIII

Responsibilities

• Undertake teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Conduct original research and produce publications in refereed journals or other scholarly research outputs.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects to completion.
• Participate in the development and review of academic curricula.
• Manage examination preparation, administration, and marking.
• Participate in the administration and management of departmental programmes and activities.
• Develop high-quality learning and teaching materials.
• Undertake community outreach and engagement activities.
• Attract research and development funds through grant writing.
• Provide academic leadership within the department or school.
• Guide and counsel students on academic and career paths.
• Attend and participate in research conferences and seminars.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the university management.

Requirements

• An earned PhD in Entrepreneurship or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
• An earned Masters degree from an accredited and recognized University (applicable for specialized fields like Engineering or Medicine).
• At least three (3) years of teaching experience since the last appointment as a Lecturer OR six (6) years of relevant experience in the Industry.
• At least thirty-two (32) equivalent publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from credible refereed journal articles or equivalent scholarly outputs since the attainment of Lecturer rank.
• Successfully supervised at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion since the last appointment as a Lecturer.
• Must be registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable) and be in good standing.
• Evidence of active community outreach or engagement.
• Possession of relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies for academic leadership.
