The Makueni County Public Service Board invites applications from qualified Kenyan citizens for the position of Senior Inspector (Drilling).
Role Overview
The Senior Inspector (Drilling) will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting groundwater drilling operations, supervising equipment usage, and ensuring drilling projects meet specified technical, safety, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise groundwater drilling activities and borehole construction within the county.
Inspect drilling machinery and operational setups to ensure structural and mechanical integrity.
Verify adherence to engineering standards, technical guidelines, and water management regulations.
Prepare technical inspection reports and keep records of drilling operations.
Requirements for Appointment
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), with at least grade C plain or equivalent.
Diploma in Drilling or Groundwater Technology from Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) or equivalent qualification.
Demonstrate mechanical understanding of drilling equipment and operations.
Minimum working experience of 3 years in a relevant reputable institution or company.
