Turnkey Africa is looking for a Senior Enterprise Account Executive to build and lead our new-business engine. This role is focused on originating and qualifying high-value opportunities within named target accounts and selected strategic prospects. The successful candidate will transition the business from a reliance on inbound leads to a proactive discovery model, ensuring all opportunities are thoroughly prepared with stakeholder maps, value hypotheses, and clear procurement paths to ensure close-readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Target Account Strategy: Build and manage a focused list of target accounts, primarily priority insurers, bancassurance institutions, and strategic partners.
Business Development: Execute structured outreach using referrals, executive introductions, direct prospecting, events, and warm relationship paths.
Opportunity Discovery: Lead discovery sessions to shape opportunities based on real business pain points, urgency, and quantifiable value.
Stakeholder Management: Map business, technology, operations, procurement, and executive stakeholders for every active opportunity.
Collaboration: Coordinate proposals, solution notes, pricing inputs, and Statement of Work (SOW) support with product, delivery, finance, and leadership teams.
Deal Execution: Track procurement, security, legal, and approval steps to maintain momentum on priority deals.
Executive Engagement: Strategically involve founders and senior executives in deals to build trust or provide executive reassurance when required.
Pipeline Hygiene: Maintain high-quality pipeline reporting and weekly commercial discipline to ensure no opportunities go stale.
Transition: Facilitate a clean handover to the delivery team once contracts are signed.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Minimum of a BA/BSc/HND degree.
Experience: Proven experience in a senior-level enterprise sales role, specifically dealing with long-cycle, complex software or financial services sales.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the insurance, ICT, or telecommunications sector is highly desirable.
Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean commercial operating rhythm with no "ghost deals" or vague reporting updates.
