Role Overview
The Senior Engineer - Cloud Platform Engineer role requires working with various cross-functional engineering specialists, project managers, and application development teams to define and implement a cloud-based hosting solution. You will be at the forefront of working with emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools and agentic use cases, and incorporating them into the common SDLC/PDLC framework. This position is responsible for supporting running applications, infrastructure, and development teams on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities
Capture technical requirements and define technology solutions for approval.
Create conceptual, logical, and physical designs of solutions to ensure appropriate technology is acquired and implemented.
Evaluate technologies and determine strengths and weaknesses of technology architecture, implementation, and suitability.
Recommend solutions to ensure consistency with the company vision.
Ensure technical feedback from stakeholders is integrated into future technology and solution directions.
Provide 24x7 support for Mastercard Foundry’s Production cloud environment.
Implement AI-driven tools and incorporate agentic use cases into development lifecycles.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Strong background and familiarity with AI development workflows, coding assistants, AI tooling, and agentic frameworks for infrastructure provisioning.
Understanding of AI/MLOps, including retraining and evaluation workflows and supporting tooling.
Experience building and supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP, VMware, OpenShift, and Bare-metal).
Proficiency in containerization solutions such as Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, OCP) and Docker.
Proven experience in pipeline development for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC).
Solid grasp of configuration management and infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, and GitHub Actions.
Strong knowledge of code versioning and build tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Artifactory.
Qualifications
BA/BSc/HND in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
