The Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir), you will lead the development of major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives. You will use technical insights and expertise to suggest product improvements and maintain a deep understanding of the team’s domain, both from product and engineering sides.

Maintain a good understanding of the team’s domain, both from product and engineering perspectives.
Provide feedback on code reviews and contribute to the shared codebase.
Debug and solve technical and business issues.
Participate in non-team activities, such as support rotations, the hiring process, and RFC discussions.
Mentor and provide guidance to other engineers.
Investigate, propose, and participate in implementation of improvements to the platform.
Design and implement APIs with performance, scalability, and maintainability in mind.
Requirements
Significant professional experience as a Backend Engineer working with Elixir, including building, shipping, and maintaining complicated software projects.
Proficiency with Postgres (or similar relational databases).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar.
A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
Nice to Have
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS).
Familiarity with Next.js and frontend frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
