Senior Associate - East & Central Africa

Primary Responsibilities

• Support and manage multiple projects, transactions, and workstreams concurrently.
• Conduct and draft analyses including financial models, market assessments, investment memorandums, pitch decks, and macroeconomic, regulatory, and operational assessments.
• Independently cultivate and manage relationships with investors, clients, companies, and other stakeholders.
• Drive client workstreams directly and independently.
• Manage entire project portfolios and make complex, value-driven decisions.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
• Foster talent and encourage diversity of people and ideas across teams and the firm.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or other relevant advanced degree/professional qualification preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or similar.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills: able to structure problems logically and design solutions that address core issues.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments.
• Willingness to take on new types of work, even without prior experience or direct supervision.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Self-starter who is humble and passionate about creating lasting change in underserved markets.
• Enthusiastic about working, traveling, and living in sometimes challenging environments.
• Experience living and/or working in underserved or developing markets (particularly in Africa) is highly valued.
