Job Description
The Makueni County Public Service Board invites applications for the position of Senior Assistant Director of Pharmaceutical Services/Pharmaceutical Specialist I, specializing in Tropical and Infectious Diseases. This is a high-level specialist role within the county’s health department, requiring both advanced clinical expertise and strategic leadership capabilities to manage and improve pharmaceutical service delivery.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
A Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm) degree from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
A Master's degree in either Clinical Pharmacy or Tropical and Infectious Diseases from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
A Certificate of Registration as a Pharmacist by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
A valid practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
A Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.
A certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Additional Requirements for Shortlisted Candidates
Shortlisted candidates will be required to obtain and produce original clearance certificates from the following institutions during interviews:
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI/CID).
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
