Job Description
The Makueni County Public Service Board is seeking a highly qualified professional for the position of Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services/Medical Specialist I - Radiologist. This role, situated within Job Group ‘Q’, involves providing specialized radiological services and contributing to the strategic leadership of medical services within the county. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic imaging, interpret results, and ensure high standards of clinical governance.
Responsibilities
Provide specialized radiological services including interpreting X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and other diagnostic images.
Offer expert medical advice and consultancy within the field of radiology.
Participate in clinical governance and strategic leadership initiatives for the health department.
Collaborate with other medical specialists and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Ensure compliance with medical standards and safety protocols within the radiology unit.
Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and technologists.
Salary and Benefits
Salary Scale: Ksh. 105,570 – 139,179 per month.

Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
A Master's degree in any of the following fields: Medicine, Anesthesia, Radiology, Pathology, or General Surgery from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
A Registration certificate issued by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
A valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
A certificate in the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) lasting at least six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications with a relevant certificate from a recognized institution.
Mandatory Clearance Documents

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) - Certificate of Good Conduct.
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
