Role Overview
Makueni County Public Service Board is seeking a qualified medical professional for the position of Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services/Medical Specialist I, specifically as a General Surgeon. This is a senior specialist role within Job Group ‘Q’, responsible for providing expert surgical care and medical leadership within the county's health facilities.
Salary Scale
Job Group ‘Q’: Ksh. 105,570 х 5,070 — 110,640 х 5,300 — 115,940 x 5,560 – 121,500 х 5,840 – 127,340 x 6,070 – 133,410 x 6,380 – 139,179 per month.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Master's degree in any of the following fields: Medicine, Anesthesia, Radiology, Pathology, or General Surgery from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Registration certificate by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) Course lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Additional Requirements for Shortlisted Candidates
Candidates selected for interviews will be required to obtain and produce clearance certificates from the following institutions:
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI/CID)
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
