Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
- Master's degree in any of the following fields: Medicine, Anesthesia, Radiology, Pathology and General Surgery from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Registration certificate by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Valid practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme Course lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide specialized clinical pathology services and medical consultations.
- Oversee diagnostic procedures and laboratory standards within the clinical setting.
- Lead medical teams and contribute to the strategic direction of medical services in the county.
- Ensure compliance with medical ethics and professional standards.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality assurance programs.
