Job Description
Makueni County Public Service Board is seeking a Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services/Medical Specialist I specializing in Anaesthesiology. This is a senior medical role within the county government, requiring specialized expertise in patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Role Overview

Responsibilities
Provide specialized medical and anaesthetic services to patients.
Oversee clinical procedures and ensure adherence to medical standards and ethics.
Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
Provide specialized medical consultations in anaesthesia and general surgery.
Participate in hospital clinical governance and strategic planning.
Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and interns.
Utilize computer application skills for managing medical records and departmental data.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
Master's degree in any of the following fields: Medicine, Anesthesia, Radiology, Pathology, or General Surgery from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Registration certificate by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme Course lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Required Clearance Documents

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
