The Sales Representative role is focused on achieving sales targets for animal feeds products within the assigned region of Kitale. The representative is responsible for maximizing both primary and secondary sales by managing the distribution network, expanding market reach, executing promotional activities, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Drive primary sales by managing distributor orders, optimizing stock planning, and ensuring efficient order execution.
Drive secondary sales through effective coverage of key market segments including retailers, farmers, agro-vets, and key accounts.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers within the region.
Ensure the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
Execute trade activities, promotions, and market activations within the assigned territory.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and overall market trends.
Prepare daily sales reports, route plans, and provide market intelligence updates.
Ensure effective product availability, visibility, and distribution across the territory.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field.
2–4 years’ experience in field sales, preferably within the animal feeds sector, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), or agricultural inputs.
Proven experience handling both primary sales (to distributors) and secondary sales (to end-users/retailers).
Skills and Attributes:
Strong negotiation skills.
Excellent relationship management skills.
Proficiency in territory management.
Willingness to work extensively in the field within the assigned region.
Valid motorcycle license is an added advantage.
