Role Overview
The Sales Executive for the Eastern Region will be responsible for identifying and recruiting new customers, managing dealership relationships, and executing promotional activities to drive revenue. This role involves team supervision, market sensing, and ensuring brand compliance across retail points to ensure optimum return on investment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition: Identify and recruit new customers to ensure achievement of new customer targets and revenue.
Activations & Promotions: Recommend and execute approved activations and promotional activities within the region, managing giveaways for optimum ROI.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with dealership managers and store staff to support retention and communicate Watu Simu updates.
Market Analysis: Conduct market sensing and provide continuous feedback/recommendations on competitor pricing and market trends.
Training & Support: Identify dealership training needs and implement programs to promote sales and understanding of processes.
Issue Resolution: Collect and resolve customer complaints, queries, and requests through effective channels.
Performance Monitoring: Provide timely reports on regional performance and monitor store capacity, stock status, and in-store pricing.
Visibility & Merchandising: Negotiate prime product display space and identify cross-merchandising opportunities with OEM partners to enhance upselling.
Team Leadership: Supervise, appraise, and train direct reports while executing effective route planning and compliance.

Deliver set sales targets against target.

Deliver off rate targets.
Timely sales, customer feedback and marketing sensing reports within set timelines and templates.
Requirements
Diploma in Marketing or other applicable field from a recognizable institution.
At least 4 years’ experience in sales, account management or related field preferably in the telecommunication or IT industry.
At least 1 year of experience leading teams.
Technical aptitude and familiarity with various mobile phone models and phone issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of asset financing is an added advantage.
Proven track record of integrity while managing business transactions.
Ability to quickly strike rapport and build meaningful and lasting business relationships.
Strong sales and marketing skills with a focus on closing sales.
Good planning, organization, and analytical skills.
Effective communicator (verbal and written) with a keen eye for detail.
