The Sales Executive holds a pivotal role in the organization by sourcing for clients, working with them to understand their requirements, recommending services or products to meet those needs, and providing feedback to cross-functional production teams for product development in order to contribute significantly to the achievement of the company's revenue and growth targets. This role is critical for aligning the sales function with broader business objectives and maintaining a competitive edge in the plastic and paper packaging industry. The ideal candidate will be an aggressive hunter with a proven ability to identify new sales opportunities, build strong client relationships, and close deals effectively.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition: Actively identify, target, and pursue new sales opportunities in the plastic and paper packaging sector.
Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand industry trends.
Sales Pipeline: Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
Sales Delivery: Present and sell plastic and paper packaging solutions to prospective and existing customers. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
Deal Closing: Negotiate and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide ongoing support, including addressing needs and concerns effectively. Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales manager to develop and implement effective sales strategies and contribute to marketing initiatives.
Process Optimization: Conduct a thorough analysis of the current sales process to identify inefficiencies and resolve them; develop and implement innovative sales methodologies.
Collaboration and Forecasting: Work with production and other cross-functional teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and align sales projections with production capabilities.
Strategic Reporting: Work closely with senior management to refine sales strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market plans. Utilize sales technologies to create regular sales reports and dashboards.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably in the plastic and paper packaging industry or a related field. Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office. Familiarity with SAP and Pipedrive is preferred.
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
Abilities: Ability to work independently with a proactive and aggressive approach to sales; excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Requirements: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
