Our client is seeking a Sales Associate to support customer acquisition and revenue growth by actively selling FMCG products to hospitality and convenience retail businesses. The role involves prospecting for new customers, executing field sales activities, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, and ensuring smooth onboarding of new clients while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and acquire new B2B customers within the hospitality and convenience retail sectors.
Conduct field sales visits to prospect, pitch, and close new business.
Actively generate leads through cold calling, referrals, networking, and market visits.
Present product offerings, pricing structures, and value propositions to prospective clients.
Negotiate terms and close sales agreements in line with company guidelines.
Maintain accurate customer and sales records using CRM and reporting tools.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely onboarding and activation of new customers.
Track sales performance against targets and submit regular sales activity reports.
Collect and share market feedback on competitor pricing, product availability, and customer needs.
Requirements
BA/BSc/HND qualification.
2–4 years’ experience in sales or business development, preferably within FMCG distribution.
Proven experience in B2B sales, customer acquisition, and deal closure.
Prior exposure to the hospitality or convenience retail sector is an added advantage.
Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage the full sales cycle independently.
Experience using CRM systems and basic sales reporting tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a field sales environment.
