Role Overview
Successful candidates will be responsible for driving international revenue growth by identifying global market opportunities and managing high-stakes relationships with international retailers and distributors. This role focuses on the fresh produce export sector, specifically targeting the Europe and Middle East markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and drive profitability through pricing strategies and cost management.
Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international export markets, including Europe and the Middle East.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making.
Financial Management: Prepare and implement annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance plans.
Export Operations: Manage export documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with logistics partners for efficient operations.
Promotion and Networking: Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and market visits to build the brand.
Distribution Management: Develop and manage a strong international distribution network; negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements.
Customer Relations: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention while resolving escalated issues timely.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing team, setting performance targets and fostering a results-oriented culture.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Agribusiness, International Business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales experience specifically in fresh produce export.
Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of European or Middle East buyer behavior and export trade requirements.
Certifications: Professional certification in Sales, Marketing, or Export Trade is an added advantage.
Success Record: Demonstrated track record in achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
Skills: Strong commercial business development skills and international market exposure.
